Snap Fitness of Calvert City and Calvert Area Development Association teamed up to host a 5K and Fun Run on December 7! You can walk or run or a combination of both! Wear your ugliest sweater and participate in this fun-filled 5K! All proceeds will be donated to the Calvert/Sharpe Family Resource Center. Each participant will receive jingle bells for their running shoes. Those that register before November 15 will receive a long-sleeve tech shirt.

Registration Pre-Pick up will be December 6 at Snap Fitness in Calvert City from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
There is no pre-registration for the Fun Run with Santa. Payment for that race will be accepted on the day of the event only.
Before November 15 – $25 (includes t-shirt and shoe bells)
After November 15 – $30 (includes shoe bells and t-shirt, while supplies last)
Fun Run with Santa – $10 (includes Santa Hat and bells)

The Calvert City Christmas Bazaar is a fundraiser for the Calvert/Sharpe Family Resource Center and is hosted by Calvert Area Development Association and Lakeland Event Center.
The first weekend in December, the Calvert City community gathers together to kick-off the holiday season with a list of special events. “The Christmas Bazaar is the perfect time to get those personalized gifts for those on your Christmas list,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing and business development for Calvert City. “This event highlights our town and gives opportunities to local small business owners to showcase their products.”
This year the bazaar had an overwhelming amount of interest with local arts and craft vendors. 106 vendors will be ready to sell at four different locations in Calvert City. “The Christmas Bazaar has grown from last year far more than I could have hoped! We’ve doubled the number of booths and locations this year giving visitors a fun-filled day of shopping,” said Chelsy Solomon, director and event coordinator for Lakeland Event Center.
The event begins on December 7 at 9:00 AM at the following locations: Calvert City Civic Center, Calvert City Elementary School, Calvert City United Methodist Church, and Lakeland Event Center. Santa will be at Calvert Elementary School with photo opportunities and Disney characters will be at Lakeland Event Center. Door prizes will be given away at each location. If you go to all four locations, you receive a free t-shirt.

Parade Lineup begins at 4:30 PM at Pathway Baptist Church. Anyone is welcome to participate in the parade! We welcome all businesses and clubs/organizations!
Enjoy the lighted Christmas parade and follow Santa’s sled to the Calvert City Civic Center for a visit with Santa and a free hot dog!
