The Calvert City Lions Club will sponsor its 61st annual Christmas parade on Saturday, December 5 at 6:00 PM.

This year’s parade will look a little different! Parade floats will be set up stationary throughout Doctors Park. Drive through the park with your family and check out the lighted floats including a drive-by visit with Santa!

Parade entries are requested to assemble their floats or golf carts and maintain social distancing and wear masks. Line up begins at Doctors Park at 4:45 PM. Judging will take place at 5:30 PM with the parade to kick off at 6:00 PM.

This year’s theme is “Christmas Trees and Memories” and all entries are asked to keep this in mind when decorating. There is no fee to enter the parade. Cash Prizes in the amounts of $150 for 1st place, $75 for second place, $150 for best use of lights, $150 for best depiction of parade theme on a float will be awarded.

Another category has been added for 2020 and will award a cash prize of $50 to the best use of lights on a golf cart. The Grand Marshall will not be an individual this year but will be all of our local first responders and front line workers.

Due to COVID-19 considerations, Calvert City Lions Club will not provide drinks or hot dogs after the parade.
