Calvert City invites businesses and homeowners to decorate their storefronts and homes as part of the Calvert City Holiday Decoration Contest. Nominations are due by December 5.
Participation is open to all residents and businesses within the boundaries of Calvert City. There is no fee to participate. Nominate a neighbor, business, or your own home. To complete a nomination, click here.
Judging will be on Thursday, December 5 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are in place and activated for the judging. Judging criteria includes unique design and creative use of lights and decorations; Storyline and theme; display and placement of decorations.
Awards will be given to the first and second place in categories of Traditional Decorations and Nontraditional Decorations for residential. Awards will be given to first and second place for businesses. Judges will have the option to add honorable mentions.
Winners will be announced at the Calvert City Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 6 at Memorial Park beginning at 5:30 PM.
