Capturing the cool afternoon breeze, I sat down on the front porch rocker. It was delightful, the cool breeze, the relaxing rocking motion, the sound of birds singing, the sight of squirrel’s playing. As I relaxed, I smiled.
Looking at the corner lot across the street, I remembered the sounds of boys at play, a bat hitting the ball, the yell of victory. Much has changed on that corner, but pine trees still stand tall along the right field line and a single pine still shades home plate. The boys are gone, the sounds are quiet, but the memories, oh the memories.
Yesterday is proof that tomorrow does come. Today is evidence and today finds us excited about a new tomorrow. A tomorrow where things are better than today. I hope you are ready—it’s coming!
